As I said yesterday, Yesterday was the day of the first official Brawl Tournament by Nintendo and Best Buy, 256 entrants fought for the prize of $500 and a trip to NY City for the Final on March 8th.

The battle conditions were as follow:

Classic Controller Only

The last match for first and second place was a 3-stock match with no time limit and on Battlefield.

The 4 Firsts Places were:
1. David using Kirby - $500 Best Buy and trip to NY for final 4 on March 8th.
2. Mario using Ike- $250 Best Buy
3. David using Lucas - $100 Best Buy
4. Carlos using Mario - $50 Best Buy

“Attention all Smash fans: Put up your dukes! Just before the launch of the much-anticipated Super Smash Bros.® Brawl, Mario™ and friends are hosting four regional Wii™ tournaments. The competitions will visit Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston and finally New York for a Midnight Madness Launch event at the Best Buy store at 622 Broadway in New York. All of the 256 participants at each location will receive a $10 Best Buy gift card.
