Programmers never seem to not amaze me, now this time SSJ4Kazuki and 2nd Stamp are creating some variant of all Super Smash Bros versions and make their own engine with the original Super Smash Bros stages and custom made stages. Here is a quote from the article by 2nd Stamp:

  • Why is Brawl so different than Melee?
By Cadelaf on June 2nd, 2008 | No Comments Comments

The average person saying that Brawl is just a Melee 2.0 is very wrong, the first time I was playing Brawl, an hour before I was playing Melee, and I have to tell you Melee is so much different, Melee is super fast compared to Brawl and has wavedash, l cancel, and a lot of advanced techniques. Anyways, a recognized Smash Player nicknamed SamuraiPanda, made a list with 5 points telling the real reasons why Sakurai changed Melee to transform it into Brawl.

  • Event Match 51 World Records [Melee]
By Cadelaf on February 16th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Today I was playing some Event Matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee to beat my old 2003 Records and see how much I progressed in years, and I went to the Event Match 12 of beat Captain Falcon in less than X seconds, I did like 0.78 with the Knee of Justice of Captain Falcon and 0.55 or something like that with jigglypuff. Well , I was searching on youtube to see who the record was and it was a 0.41 with Jigglypuff :O. Anyways, on related videos I saw this one called “Event 51 Compilation 2″ It is an awesome video of world records and they seem easy to do. In most of them they kinda exploit the computer A.I to make them fall down. Take a look at them they are worth it

  • The Wavedash
By Pulido on February 4th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

I’m in the middle of a one-on-one match, where my Samus engages my friend’s Dr. Mario in combat. He has great ability, so I’m having trouble landing my hits. Suddenly, I see an opening. I run towards him and press A to attack him with a charge, and then he slides backwards and counterstikes with a powerful smash attack. I’m dead. But hey, that wasn’t a roll, and I’m sure he didn’t simply move backwards…”What the $%!?!?! GLITCH!!”

“The wavedash” (not our video though)

  • 35 characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl
By mojurico on February 3rd, 2008 | No Comments Comments

As many people know, it has been confirmed in Japan that 35 characters will be playable in Brawl. However, this is also the first time in the Smash Bros. series that some characters will no longer be playable. Some characters include Mewtwo, Pichu, and Roy. Why they decided to take these characters out is unkown, but people speculate that they were mainly clones. But what about Mewtwo? He had a unique moveset back in Melee. Well, it appears that Mewtwo’s moveset has been passed to Lucario. Some people may be disappointed that not many characters were added from Melee to Brawl, but if we analyze the situation, we can observe a pattern. Back in Super Smash Bros. for the N64, there were 12 characters in total. Then, in Melee, 14 characters, including Sheik, were added. Finally, in Brawl, 21 characters from Brawl returned. The ones that didn’t make the cut were Doctor Mario, Pichu, Roy, Young Link, and Mewtwo. This time, another 14 characters were added to Brawl, just like in Melee. This means that 60% of the characters in Brawl are Veterans, while 40% are Newcomers.
