  • The Official SBR Brawl Tier List v1.0
By Cadelaf on September 7th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Based on a Spring of Heavy Competitions to make this list, it took thousands of battles to conclude with the results of this matches, and here is the tier list with the conditions and requirements for reaching them.

    1. Tier placement doesn’t necessarily reflect your ability to beat your friends with a specific character. You might beat your friend’s Metaknight with Sonic, but that doesn’t mean Sonic is top tier. It means you win that matchup against your friend. Tiers are not absolute measurements of match outcomes.

  • Final Smash Tier List
By Cadelaf on August 11th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

We know how some characters are considered top tiers but what about their final smashes?  The Pope of Pie made a tier list on final smashes which seems interesting for players that use final smashes or people who want to try final smashes for fun.

    GOD
    Fox/Falco/Wolf - Landmaster
    Sonic - Super Sonic

This list was done by some smash players including Xiivi, which this list is based on a series of tournaments and showing which characters in average perform better than others. Of course, it doesn’t mean that they are the best characters, but I have always thought that an important factor of wins, are based on how good you are.

    Keywords:

    S: Amazing
    A: Very Good
    B: Above Average
    C: Average
    D: Below Average
    E: Bad

  • List of Brawl Spikes
By Cadelaf on May 15th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Hello Guys, today I am going to post a guide that kamekasu made, that shows how to do spikes with characters, spikes in brawl are basically ways to shoot your opponent off stage without a possibility of recovery.

Kamekasu said: List of Spikes in Brawl

    In case you didn’t know:

Spike - An attack that sends theopponent directly downwards until hitlag wears off. You cannot meteor cancel in Brawl, therefore all meteors are now spikes.

Stall-then-fall - An attack that sends the user directly downwards. Some stall-then-falls are spikes if they hit as the user begins their downward movement.

  • 35 characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl
By mojurico on February 3rd, 2008 | No Comments Comments

As many people know, it has been confirmed in Japan that 35 characters will be playable in Brawl. However, this is also the first time in the Smash Bros. series that some characters will no longer be playable. Some characters include Mewtwo, Pichu, and Roy. Why they decided to take these characters out is unkown, but people speculate that they were mainly clones. But what about Mewtwo? He had a unique moveset back in Melee. Well, it appears that Mewtwo’s moveset has been passed to Lucario. Some people may be disappointed that not many characters were added from Melee to Brawl, but if we analyze the situation, we can observe a pattern. Back in Super Smash Bros. for the N64, there were 12 characters in total. Then, in Melee, 14 characters, including Sheik, were added. Finally, in Brawl, 21 characters from Brawl returned. The ones that didn’t make the cut were Doctor Mario, Pichu, Roy, Young Link, and Mewtwo. This time, another 14 characters were added to Brawl, just like in Melee. This means that 60% of the characters in Brawl are Veterans, while 40% are Newcomers.

It seemed too many people want to know how many characters are there, this video shows how many characters have been revealed so far, and who knows? Maybe there are some more hidden. Unfortunately, not all characters from Melee made it. Roy was replaced for Ike, Mewtwo was replaced for Lucario and Pichu was replaced for Pokemon Trainer. Anyways enjoy the video.
