Hori: the new third party Wii Controller features a different way of placing the buttons with lots of buttons on the center it will be focused more for SNES and Gamecube games.   If it will be considered as a Gamecube Controller or a Classic Controller is yet unknown.

Wii de Asobu which means “Plays for the Wii” is a new concept that will be introduced soon in Japan.  What it does is convert Gamecube Titles to the Wii and make them Wii-Mote Capable.

Resident Evil 4 ported from Gamecube was a success and now Nintendo wants to invest more on this new concept of Wii de Asobu.

If you still use that old gamecube controllers with broken buttons and which are harder to use than before, then you are in luck. If you thought there were no more gamecube controllers in production, you were wrong, Nintendo of Japan is to release this month a new improved gamecube controller in white color, with a very good addition, instead of havin short cords like the current gamecube controllers are, now it reaches up to 3 Meters, which is about 10 feet. Since the Nintendo Wii has the gamecube ports on top of it, the chords reached less than with the Gamecube, but now that the new chord will be 3 meters, you’ll able to play it across your room. There is still no known date yet for the American Continent Release though.
