  • Ledge dash attack Technique
By Cadelaf on June 12th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

    New technique dicovered, ledgedashattack

    Earthbound360 Profesional Brawl Player:
“This can be used to do a dash attack right on the edge. People with long rangedd dash attacks like Ness might be able to use this. You can even do multiple dashes at the edge meaning multiple dash attacks in rapid succession.

You can even just tap forward VERY quickly, but that’s the problem with it. You have to press it VERY quickly. Diagonally downards is much easier.”

  • Wavedashing re-discovered
By Cadelaf on May 29th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Did you got mad that wavedash got removed from Melee? Well, now it’s  possible to do it again, not as fast the other one but still works with a different key combination. It’s not like if you jumped and clicked R on a certain timing, now they are different steps. Check this video and look how the new wavedash is done. Amazing finding, and will make Brawl even more competitive. The more time with Brawl, the more techniques and competitiveness.

  • Techniques renamed
By mojurico on February 11th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

As you have probably seen today in the Smash Bros DOJO!!, some of the previously known advanced techniques have had their names oficially announced, since names like Wavedash or Teching are fanbased. Here are a list of the techniques introduced today, and what they were usually called.

    Ukemi - Teching

    technique10_080211a-l Techniques renamed

Apperantly, this technique has stayed exactly the same from Melee. You press the shield button just as soon as you are about to hit a wall, ceiling or floor, and you will stop all the momentum you were hit with. I guess this time instead of calling them wall tech, floor tech, and ceiling tech, they will now be called wall ukemi, floor ukemi, and ceiling ukemi… or something like that. Personally, I will call them ukemi since it sounds like killer.

  • The Wavedash
By Pulido on February 4th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

I’m in the middle of a one-on-one match, where my Samus engages my friend’s Dr. Mario in combat. He has great ability, so I’m having trouble landing my hits. Suddenly, I see an opening. I run towards him and press A to attack him with a charge, and then he slides backwards and counterstikes with a powerful smash attack. I’m dead. But hey, that wasn’t a roll, and I’m sure he didn’t simply move backwards…”What the $%!?!?! GLITCH!!”

“The wavedash” (not our video though)
