The Smash Bros Dojo hasn’t stopped giving updates as it seems that as of yesterday, there was an introduced update at http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/info/info08.html showing the worldwide home run contest, what the article says is that:

“Through Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, a vast number of Target Smash!! and Home-Run Contest submissions have poured in from players of all regions.

I distribute one submission per day, but it’s not really obvious which submissions are setting records, is it?

To that end, I put together a list of the world records for each character for you to take a look at. The data is current as of the end of July, 2008.

  • Insane Super Mario Stages
By Cadelaf on July 21st, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Felt that playing those old Super Mario Bros games that consisted on beating a scenario on a determined time, in which you died from 1 or at most 2 hits.  Now,  change that into crazy customized versions of scenarios in which you have to do crazy obstacles and long time of trial and error,  because they are so well elaborated that they try to make it as hard as possible to win. But of course it is possible to win them but after a lot of tries. Think Boss Battles on Intense was hard?   Then you haven’t seen this….

  • The Lost Files, Super Smash Bros 64 Prototype
By Cadelaf on June 19th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

As you know, it has been almost 10 Years since the first Super Smash Bros. was introduced, but what about the development? It all started with polygons fighting each other, similar to the fighting polygon team in Super Smash Bros.  Something here looks quite peculiar, like in the way that every release of Super Smash Bros has some sort of a Fighting Polygons in Classic Mode. This may be the way the characters started, out of polygons which are modeled by different sizes and shapes such as the resemblance of the 100 Man Brawl with characters from the game.

  • Bowser’s History
By andresomg on June 17th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Hello Smashers, Today we’ll talk about King Koopa or Bowser, the evil antagonist of the Mario series.

Bowser is a video game character in Nintendo’s Mario series. He is also known as King Koopa. In Japan, he is called Koopa , and is the primary antagonist of the Mario series.

Bowser is Mario’s archnemesis. He is the leader and most powerful of the turtle-like Koopa race. Although Bowser has joined forces with Mario in a few games, he is considered a “bad guy” due to his ambition to kidnap and dethrone Princess Peach and conquer the Mushroom Kingdom.

An easter egg is known to be something game producers like to insert in games just to see who finds them. These can be quite interesting when found. Today we’ll show you an easter egg found in Brawl.

In case you can’t see it, there’s a cat inside the little house

To see this easter egg, all you have to do is fight in Pokemon Stadium 2, wait for the ice level press start, move the camera and presto, you’ll see the kitty inside

We think this might be related to the fact that Sakurai (Brawl’s creator) loves cats.
