You may or may not be familiar with the Animal Crossing games. However, if you have played Brawl, by now, you SHOULD have played in the Smashville stage. Obviously, this particular stage comes directly from the Animal Crossing Universe.

Animal Crossing: City Folk

Now that I explained a bit, let’s get back to the topic. It may please you to know, if you didn’t know already, that the third installment in the Animal Crossing series is coming to Wii in late November. Ever since its success in the Gamecube in 2003 and in the DS with Wild World in late 2005, Animal Crossing has become one of the best selling and favorite simulation franchises of Nintendo. Basically, you are a boy or a girl who decides to go live into a town filled with animal residents, where you buy a house, meet the townsfolk, and start your new life by buying furniture, doing favors to animals, attending events, fishing, catching bugs, digging treasure, and much more. The core of the game will still be based on these mechanics, however, there are a few innovations that will make City Folk a much more entertaining experience, like taking a trip to the city, the ability to use your Mii’s face in your character, a lot more furniture, clothes, accesories… but what’s most important and possibly one of the best new features of the Wii by far is WiiSpeak, a microphone that sits atop your sensor bar which makes it possible to hold online conversations with your friends, with no need for headphones bothering your head! With this, it will be as if your friends were in the same room as you!

If you are a big Animal Crossing fan, definitely pick this game upon release, since Animal Crossing has proved to be a very entertaining game, with infinite hours of gameplay. Besides, the WiiSpeak will make it possible to hold conversations with your friends in further games released, proving Nintendo is finally realizing that a good Online Mode is what will make its appeal to videogamers higher. And if you have never played Animal Crossing before, or you think it’s very childish, believe me, it’s extremely addicting. I am played it for the first time when I was 13, now I’m 18, and still enjoy it. And if you are older than me, I can assure you that you will enjoy it greatly. It’s just like life, just with a more addictive twist. So, you should really buy this game once it releases.
